You really don't want to risk having a costly scleral lens lost down the drain. Trust me, I've been there. There's lots of ways to prevent it - that is, if you're using the sink at all (many people do their lens insertion, cleaning and removal at a table instead). You can place a towel over the sink, or you can use a rubber sink strainer.

We have two - an , and this round one which is somewhat larger and which vaults over the drain stopper. Personally I use the blue one, but it means I have to put the stopper most of the way down so it doesn't hold it up creating gaps.
